This policy explains what information EntryLevelJobs ("we", "us") collects when you use entryleveljobs.co, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and specific. If anything is unclear, email us at hello@entryleveljobs.co.

The short version

You do not need an account to use the site, and we do not ask for your name, email address or CV. We collect basic usage data through analytics to understand how the site is used, and we may show advertising in the future. When you click Apply, you leave our site and the employer's own privacy policy applies.

Information we collect

Usage and device data. When you visit, our analytics tool records things like the pages you view, the searches and filters you use, your approximate location (country and city level), your browser and device type, the referring website and how long you stay. This is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.

Search activity. Search terms and filters you use are sent to our servers to return results. We do not link them to your identity.

Job reports. If you use the Report button on a listing, we store the job reference, the reason you selected and any description you type, along with the time of the report. We do not ask for your name or email in that form, so please do not include personal details in the description.

Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep the message and your email address so we can reply.

Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical information such as IP address, request time and browser details for security and reliability.

How we use information

We use it to run and improve the site, for example finding out which filters people use and which pages are slow; to keep the site secure and prevent abuse; to review reports about listings; to answer your messages; and to measure and, where applicable, serve advertising. We do not sell your personal information in exchange for money.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand traffic. It sets cookies and collects the usage data described above. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by changing your browser's cookie settings. Our cookie policy has more detail.

Advertising and affiliate links

We may display advertising from third-party networks, such as Google AdSense, and may include affiliate links. These partners can use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads based on your browsing. You can manage personalized advertising at Google Ad Settings or learn more at aboutads.info. If a link on the site is an affiliate link, it will be labeled, and the price you pay does not change.

Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the site, and only as needed: our hosting provider (Netlify), our database provider (Supabase), our analytics provider (Google) and any advertising partners described above. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google when a page loads. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the site and its users from fraud or abuse.

Third-party sites

Job listings link to employers and job boards that we do not control. Their sites have their own privacy practices. We recommend reading them before you submit an application or personal details.

How long we keep information

Job listings are removed automatically after they expire. Job reports and server logs are kept only as long as needed to review reports and keep the service safe. Analytics data is retained according to our analytics settings. Emails are kept as long as needed to deal with your request.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, such as the EU, the UK or California, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to certain uses, and to withdraw consent. Because we do not collect account details, there is often little for us to retrieve, but email us and we will respond. Cookie choices can be changed in your browser at any time.

Children

The site is intended for people who are old enough to work or look for work in their country. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

International visitors

Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. By using the site, you understand that your information may be transferred and processed there.

Security

We use reputable hosting and database providers and standard safeguards such as encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. Material changes, for example starting to show ads, will be reflected here before or when they take effect.
