Role and Responsibilities:

You will learn and develop professional grooming skills while supporting salon operations and delivering positive experiences for pet parents and their pets. This role focuses on building technical grooming abilities, maintaining safety standards, and supporting salon performance.

• Perform bath, brush, and grooming services under supervision in accordance with PetSmart's standards and procedures
• Provide standalone services such as nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services
• Develop and demonstrate safe grooming techniques that meet company expectations
• Engage with pet parents to recommend grooming and wellness solutions based on each pet's needs
• Deliver a positive pet parent experience in person, over the phone, and at the register
• Greet pet parents, answer questions, and assist with salon reservations
• Conduct appointment reminder calls and maintain accurate client records
• Perform check-in and check-out procedures, including paperwork and rebooking
• Promote salon services and merchandise to support sales and productivity goals
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and humane conditions in the grooming area throughout the day
• Complete end-of-day cleaning following maintenance checklists
• Take immediate action when a sick or injured pet is identified, including arranging transport to a veterinarian when needed
• Assist in other store departments as required

• Successful completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy training and safety certification program
